Tuesday's Alphabet Soup

Today is the letter "I" at alphabet soup - I was sending you over to Morning Glory's place, but when I went over this morning, I found that she's on another bloggy break. Wouldn't you know, just when I get inspired?? Hey, that's an "I" word - inspired!

Since I have a bit of "blog fog" going on myself (a phrase invented by dear Tammy), I decided to do the alphabet soup thing today, and will do it anyway just for fun. Especially since I couldn't sleep last night and began thinking of words, writing them in the dark so I wouldn't forget them. Many of the words I thought of are abstract rather than concrete. So here goes ...

DC works for a family of inventors. They have amazing minds and have created many products over the years. The Walker Mower is the one that took off and has provided employment for many people, including a number from our church. They've been such good stewards of what God has given them, and have helped many friends who found themselves in need of jobs.

I love GOOD ice cream. I have found some very good low-fat varieties.

Islands - especially the Big Island of Hawaii. You knew I was going to say that, didn't you?? I enjoyed the islands of the Caribbean on our cruise as well, but have decided I'd rather go back and spend a week on St. Croix rather than a few minutes on 5 different ones in a week. I'd also like to be there when the cruise ships didn't come in.

Impossibility - because when things are impossible, God can show us His power.

New International Version (NIV)Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:25-27

New International Version (NIV)Jesus replied, "What is impossible with men is possible with God." Luke 18:26-28

It is my privilege every day to be with my granddaughters and to watch their imaginations develop is the most fun of all. I have to go to another room sometimes to keep from giggling in front of them as I listen to them creating their fun.

We live in an age of overwhelming information. Information Overload is a problem sometimes - I feel as if my mind is a computer hard drive with TMI!

I have gone to Women of Faith several times and have come back with what I felt was Inspiration Overload. But I don't truly think that's possible. We need all the inspiration we can get, but sometimes processing it all takes awhile.

And the one that has become so important to us here in blogland - Intercessory prayer. What a blessing it is to know that we can put a request out there in cyberspace and people will be praying, just as if they were our church body.

I don't know if anyone else will be doing this today or not, but "I" enjoyed it.

What a great job of listing your "I" words. I'm sorry to leave everyone in the lurch, but I'm just too out of it right now.

I love your list and I'm glad you jumped in!

I love the imagination of the little ones too. It is amazing to watch.

Intercessory prayer is so important and it is amazing how many prayer warriors we have met in bloggerville and that is a blessing indeed!

I loved your flowers from the last post and that photo of DC with the pig is priceless!

Dawn, I really loved your "I" list...I would agree with all of these, too!

(And thank you for giving me credit for the "blog fog" LOL)

Come over when you can and read my Veteran's Day post...

Hugs,
~Tammy

Great "I" list, Dawn!

And I wholeheartedly agree with you about the ice cream! Let me know which low fat flavors are actually good! I've been eating frozen yogurt recently.

Hope you're having a wonderful day!

Dawn,

You cracked me up with your last comment on my blog! And it's funny because I've actually been trying to be conscious about shaving my legs just in case I do go into labor. Perhaps you're right and that's the wrong tactic!

However, I'm desperately overdue for a pedicure. Perhaps that will help! :-)

The pictures in the post before this one are just gorgeous! We don't have any flowers left so it was nice to see some nice pictures of them. Good one of DC and the pig!!!! Take care! xoxo

And I so enjoyed the "I" things you value. I also appreciate when you take we bloggers on a picturized (is that a word?) trip, the latest one being from your vacation trip.

Excellent "I's" Dawn. I think I like the one 'imagination' best tho...it deals with your granddaughters' imagination; nothing better in life that grandkids if you ask me.

Happy Wednesday to you.

"I" --- that's a tough one, but you came through like a champ. I loved how you were writing them in the dark as I do the same thing. Some mornings the words make sense and other days they don't.

You have perfect "I" words! I loved each and every one.

About the Islands. My husband and I are thinking of going for our 30th anniversary next year. Do you know any good places to stay on Kauai?...or the big Island.

I remember you stayed in a cute little hut on your last trip.
