We Have a Winner!!

A week ago, for my 300th post celebration, I offered these as a gift for the winner of the drawing:

006

Go to
this post if you'd like a little background on the earrings.

Care Bear, who is in kindergarten, loves to make lists, organize everyone's life. I asked her to write the names of those who entered the contest. She is all business.

001

She cut the names into various sizes of pieces of paper and put them in a bowl. We thought Feisty could pick the winner, but she decided she didn't want to be involved. Care Bear closed her eyes, so she wouldn't be tempted to pick her mommy's name.

002

Here's the winner! Care Bear writes 'em as she hears 'em.

CONGRATULATIONS, SOOSEN! That would be
Susan of Penless Writer.

I hope you enjoy wearing them, and pray for Kenya when you do.

Good Morning Dawn,
"CONGRATULATION'S" to Susan on winning the earrings. I know she will enjoy wearing them. That was so sweet of Care Bear wanting to help you with writing the names down and then drawing a name for you. I bet she is a big help to you when she is at your house. I read your Wordless Wednesday post. My oh my, it can't make up it's mind if it wants to snow or be sunny. I can't believe it melted as fast as it snowed. That's how ours did when we got our snow last month. It was pretty while it lasted tho and the girls got to play in it. It sure was cold tho. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

I am so tickled. Not only to win the beautiful earrings from Kenya but that Care Bear did such a good job writing and then drawing my name. It must be because I'm a grandma and she knows how special grandma's are because of HER grandma. I love the rendering of my name.

What a precious little girl Dawn. She reminds me of my oldest Granddaughter who is 16 now and still the family organizer. She is a joy.
I see what you mean about your WW pictures. Surely there is a great devotional post there. I'll have to give it some thought - and prayer. Right now my brain seems to be in neutral. We are taking our English visitor to the airport this afternoon and then I will need to get back to the "real world". The ironing as piled up and the house is crying out for attention - and the poor piano has been silent for days (and I have lessons next tuesday).
I forgot to answer your question - we live just a bit north of where we were sight-seeing.

I forgot to tell you how much I like your new spring "look". Tell Kristen she has done another great job.

How wonderful to let Care Bear write the names and congratulations to Susan.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on our family's babies. For so long we didn't have any babies in the family and then within a year we have four. There is also one on the way - to be born in August. I hope that one is a girl. Seems we're destined to have boys.

My sister and I each had one girl and no other children. My brother had five - three boys and two girls. Now it seems everyone is having boys. We need a baby girl. LOL

Blessings,
Mary

Congratulations to "Soosan!"
The people at my Grandpa's care home pronounced my name just like that, so this gave me a smile :)
