Unintentional Blogging Break

I have been trying to do a post for days now. I hope I'll get it done someday soon. I miss coming to visit all of you, and hope I get caught up.

Remember my word of the year last year? It was "flexibility." I need to make it my life word, I guess. One year wasn't enough.

Two requests for prayer. DC is going in early Thursday morning for a bit of "plumbing" repair. He's really nervous about it. Please pray for peace for him, and that he'll understand that the temporary pain pills are his friend. Our experience with addictions has him very leary of taking meds that are for his benefit.

We've been thrown yet another curve in our lives as well. One that has us being full time caregivers to the 4 little ones for the next several weeks. I don't feel the freedom to share the details, but suffice it to say it has really thrown us for a loop.

Thankfully, we are somewhat used to this caregiving role, but not 24/7 for such a long time. I caught a cold just as this began. I'm trying to sing in the community chorale for my own enjoyment. But that will require quite a bit of maneuvering to make it continue to happen.

Imagine, if you will, having every trip in the car take 3 times as long to get going. The age of "I do it myself" has hit us full force. They are adorable and smart and independent. Which is all good, unless you are in a hurry. So - moral of the story - plan way ahead! Don't ever be in a hurry.

I'll be back, as the sign says. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Oh dear Dawn...you have my MANY prayers - for DC AND for both of you as you struggle through the new 24/7 caregiving.

OH, bless your heart! You are such a giver! My husband has had that "plumbing" surgery, tell Don it will be just fine!

Whatever the situation that has you caring for the little 4 full time, I'm praying God's strength for you! They are so blessed to have you!

"As thy days so shall thy strength be" - that's His promise and my prayer for you during these difficult days for you and DC. You have given so much of yourself to your family. Try to take care of yourself, too!

Prayers all the way around for you my friend. Perhaps you will find this scripture promise helpful:

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.

--Isaiah 43:2
Do try to find some time for just you. That is more important than you may realize.

Best of luck in the next few weeks. I'm sure that you'll adjust and survive with bells on.

Prayers for all of you!

Many prayers from me too Dawn - for you and DC, and for strength and patience to survive. Please prioritise your singing. You HAVE to do something for yourself. Mental health time. Lots of love

Praying for you right now Dawn and for DC to be in and out quickly. I am so sorry to hear that you will be caregiver 24/7 right now. I had the grandkids for the weekend and they wore me out. They are a blessing but the independence can be a deal breaker on the patience:) Praying for the unspoken situation which has lead to this. Love you Dawn.

Love and Hugs, Laurie

Praying for you, for DC and for situations that are known to you and the Lord...may you truly know and feel His peace, His assurance and His love for you all.

Praying for you my friend. Somewhere, somehow, God will give you the strength to do what has to be done - physical, mental, spiritual. The blessing you and DC are right now to those 4 girls is immeasurable. Your love and stability will see them through more than these days. They will carry with them forever the example you are to them; even if they are too young to understand it all right now, some day they will understand the sacrifice of love that you have made. Just listening to "Sometimes He calms the storm and sometimes He calms His child". Rest in Him. Praying for Kristen, too.

You know I'm praying, you're all in my thoughts often.

Find a once a week childcare reliever for you and DC. Whether it's an evening babysitter, or whatever. You need a bit of respite now and then. Surely there is a young girl in your church who might be available?

Oh Dawn...prayers go up
for your hubby and you to have the energy you need...and him and his repairs (o:
I can not imagine 24 hours for more than one day. I am soooo tired when they leave I can barely survive the evening. Get well and stay strong. Ask for help when you can... friends and relatives can help you...hopefully.

Oh Dawn, I hardly know what to say. Were you standing here, I would just give you a huge hug and assure you of my prayers.
I pray His grace will sustain you and that He will work all things together for good.
I will be praying for your sweet DC and that all will be well.
Praying He will uphold you and give you His joy dear friend.

Oh Dawn, I will be praying for strength. I just thought of something...
There is always blessing SOMEWHERE in a storm. Look for the little blessings, and maybe they will be like small stepping stones to get you through.

I will pray for strength. And I hope you can sing in the choir. I wonder if you could get a babysitter to help DC on those rehearsal days. The girls might enjoy it.

Dear sweet Dawn...
You all are in my every thought. Do take time to breathe. I know from my own experiences with marriage break-ups, little ones, drugs, even abuse...it's just easier said than done. Just know that you and your entire family will remain together and happy times will soon arrive in Loveland again.

You say...."snow"? Oh goodie...you keep it there. It rained here this morning, which I thoroughly enjoyed. And the days are crisp and 'fall like' around here. Well "Fall" for South Texas...kinda like Colorado's Indian Summer Days.

Hope your day is treating you well dear Dawn.

Dawn, I'm SO FAR BEHIND! I'm sorry I missed tis post - and missed praying specifically for you all. Please know that I am praying now - albeit a bit on the late side. I hope DC is doing better...

I am definitely praying for the situation with K and the kiddos! Love ya! (((((Dawn))))))

Oh my goodness Dawn. Being with the grandkids for 24/7 must be very hard. I babysit for mine sometimes and they are a handful and boy do I get tired easy and I had seven kids of my own!

Prayers for you.
