It began snowing yesterday morning and snowed off and on all day. Not huge flakes, but nice white stuff. The mountains got slammed, which is a good thing for our economy, and for water next summer. It's always fun trying to find the gloves and hats on the first cold day.
This is where DC cooked burgers on Sunday, while I lay in bed on the heating pad.
And here's where everyone ate lunch in the beautiful sunny fall day. This morning Care Bear said, "I think we're having two seasons - fall and winter!" Very perceptive, Care Bear!
What a difference a couple of days make around here. The guys came over to help DC haul leaves away on Saturday, because he's unable to lift for a few more weeks after some surgery. The girls got into the fun as well.
I had to hurry up and take these pictures, because the snow will probably not last long. It's only 21 degrees this morning, but the sun is shining beautifully.
Have a great Wednesday!

What a difference a couple of days makes around here, huh?
They had a great time helping that day with the leaves. Too bad the snow is covering them all up now!
I don't miss snow! and I don't want any nearly this soon...but I love the pictures...especially the grandkids with the leaves! They are absolutely darling.
Oh the joy of being little and playing in a pile of leaves!! Cute.
Ha! I must say living in the mountain is interesting weather wise. We have had three days of snow and all is melted now. But the ski slopes (a few thousand feet higher than us are in Heaven with snow). Thanks for sharing the photos!
Oh Dawn, you two little Grandaughters are so very cute! I love that picture of them helping with the leaves, just darling. :)
It is a treat to get to see the beautiful snow too. Our humidity is back and so we had to turn on the air again. Your pics are so refreshing!
We are getting a winter blast about right now in West Texas.
There was an explosion...a gas tank blew up down from our church and right now the community is getting ready to help board up windows for low income folks in the area. Rain...hold on til the windows get boarded up!
What lucky grandkids to have so many leaves to play in...not so lucky for whoever is raking them :-)
I love the snow. I wish we had more here in Arkansas, but it seems every year we get less and less snow, and it doesn't get as cold or stay for as long as it did when I was growing up. Global warming, maybe??
"Call Me Grandma Diane"? Hmmm....Nah, I guess not, I think somebody else already took that idea. ;D
You've had some dramatic weather change! The snow is beautiful, but just to visit! I love the pics of your granddaughters playing in the leaves and helping!
I love pictures of snow - just don't want to live with it any more!! I like the idea of fall much better.
We've been having the same kind of weather and had our first snowfall a few days ago but thankfully it hasn't been staying on the ground...YET!! What pretty pictures a first snowfall makes though:-)
That looked like my backyard a little while ago before it melted. Those are some adorable pictures!
I really LOVE the THOUGHT of snow - I just don't like to be in it - as in out driving in it and such. Although I do love to play in it for a while with the kids. We get very little snow here that if we ever get a good covering we're out there before it's all gone - usually takes just a couple of hours.
And I LOVE making the giant pile of leaves then jumping in it! What fun! Beautiful pics!
Those photos are very familiar. It's amazing how quickly our weather changes in Colorado, isn't it?
It's bright and sunny here today but it's cold! That's unfortunate for Rob because he doesn't know it yet but he's grilling hamburgers tonight, too. We grill year round.
I love the photo of the kids in the leaves. Brings back lots of great memories.
Wow, two seasons in the same amount of days..the joys of living in the shadow of mountains!
The pics of the girls in the leave are great!
Great pictures. Weather is crazy here too. I love the picture of the girls at the end. Big grins and lots of leaves.
