Slightly Less Than Wordless Wednesday

Our yard in fall of 1979
I had planted all of the bushes and some of the trees

So - after all the griping we did about snow this past winter makes me pretty ungrateful - it has given us the moisture for the most fabulous spring and early summer flowers that I can remember in all of our years living here.
One final picture - just can't resist posting this sunrise from my front door.

What gorgeous pictures! The columbine shots are my favorite, they are so lovely! We have columbine but they aren't the purple and white ones that you have, those are just incredible!

Wow, Dawn. What a difference 27 years makes. All these photos are beautiful. I couldn't choose a favorite if I had to.

In 1979 the tree was a stick. Now look at it! That was interesting!

I loved looking at all the flowers. God is so imaginative!

Amazing! I love all the Columbine. I haven't had a lot of luck growing them, but I'm probably trying to plant them in the wrong spots.

Beautiful flowers and sunrise,Dawn.

The late frosts and freezes ruined a lot of the blooms and killed some of our spring flowers.

That's life, I guess.

Love and hugs,

Diane

My WW is up. :)

Wow you have a beautiful backyard. I don't like gardening, flowers never last with me even in a pot. I need silk flowers inside.

You live in an absolutely beautiful place! And I so love your "random" covering!!!!

I, too, posted a not so wordless Wednesday! I love the tree...and what God has done in your backyard!

The amazing thing is that the big tree in the foreground is covering the second one you can see in the first one. The big tree that is showing in the background is the Austrian pine that was less than 4 feet tall in the first picture.

I don't think Dad's the only one with talent in photography! Great pictures, Mom. Amazing what a difference in the two pictures of the lawn makes!

Beautiful!! It is neat to see the growth and what your hard work accomplished!

Looks like the snow did you good.

We haven't had much snow for a few years. My WW pic was taken Feb. 2006. I think we got about 5-6 inches in that pic and that is the most we have had since winter 2003 when we got over 30 inches in a matter of days. That was my first winter on the east coast and I was welcomed in a big way...LOL!

What a difference 28 years make!! I look at the pictures we took of our backyard 29 years ago when we first moved here and it's amazing how much the trees have grown. Your yard looks beautiful! Your flowers are all gorgeous, I especially love the Columbine! That sunset picture is breathtaking!! xox

Another Colorado gal here. I can't see your pictures so I guess I'll have to use my imagination.

Hope all things are working out for good, sooner than later! It is hard to keep that worry-ness out of a weary mind.

Blessings Friend!

So gorgeous -- all of them!

How neat that you took that picture of the tree when it was planted. What a great idea. Something to pass onto your kids . . . or to post on a blog! :)

And I didn't know that columbine was the Colorado flower? I love those . . . they spring up all over in our yard from a plant tht I did plant. Their seeds seems to transfer well! :) A beautiful flower indeed.

These are absolutely gorgeous pictures...all of them! My mouth dropped open on the before and after shots. The flowers are so beautiful- and so is the sunrise!
