I'm Outta Here!

Well, at least 24 hours from now I'll be leaving for the airport. Lots and lots to do today! Thank goodness I'm not obsessed with having a company-clean house to come home to. Well, let's be honest here - I don't even obsess about a company-clean house when I'm having company! This is the first fall trip we've ever taken that I can recall - we've either had someone in school or I was working for a school. I hope we can get to the East Coast soon, maybe next autumn --

Please stop over and visit Kristen to commiserate with her a bit. She needs your encouragement!

The timing of this trip could have been better - but who knew that 6 months ago?? Kristen's school schedule is so horrific - I don't want to worry about her while I'm gone, but I fear that I will. Because of that same schedule, I've had the kiddoes much more than normal, giving me very little time to concentrate on this speaking engagement I have two days from now. But I stayed up late last night and got it written out - now I have to time it to be sure I'm not keeping the ladies too long! Thank you for your prayers and support. As one friend said, I wish you could all be there!

PRAYER REQUEST! Again. If you go over and read Kristen's post, you'll find that once again poor little Feisty is suffering from the recurring nightmare of UTI - she has an appointment with a pediatric urologist - but it's a month away yet. It's unbelievable to me that 4-5 different doctors in the same clinic can see her over the past year, but only one have any good advice - and he hasn't seen her since the first occurrence. I really don't like not being able to see the same doctor every time you go in. It doesn't work well for continuity of treatment! Please pray that she doesn't have kidney damage, which is a possibility. Please pray for her little mind - she will also be seeing a psychologist to see if she's experienced something unthinkable which is causing this mental block against bowel movements. Just please pray for Feisty!

It turned out to be long for a post, but perhaps I can share my devotional with you as time goes by. It took the direction of the impact music has had on my journey through crisis - both the Psalms and songs written more recently that we sing in church and/or choir.

I need to get busy now - so I'll sign off and leave you with one adorable picture -

We'll be back late Saturday, the 18th. I'll catch you then!

Great photo of Kristen and the girls!
I will be praying for you while you're away - asking God to speak through you while you share your heart.
Have a great vacation, too!

Denise
(p.s. - I can't see Kristen's blog. How can I get an invite?)

Poor Feisty! I hope everything turns out okay.
"See" you when you get back!

Poor Feisty, still struggling with that problem. I had hoped since it's been some time since you mentioned anything about her problem that maybe it was gone for good. I will certainly pray for her, and I'll pray for you too as you travel and do your presentation.

Love the picture of Kristen and the girls! ;o)

Love and hugs,

Diane

Praying for you all, each for your own situation; for pain relief and a resolution for Fiesty, for confidence and energy for Kristen and for a calmness and confidence for you as you speak what God has laid on your heart. May you be a blessing to those He has put in your path and may this truly be a time of relaxing and reconnecting for you and DC as well. If you speak to Kristen let her know that even those of us who cannot access her blog are sending up special prayers for her and the girls. And, what a precious photo! Enjoy this special time.

Dear Dawn have a wonderful fun, safe trip! We will all be thinking of you and praying for you as you speak to the ladies. I know you will do a wonderful job and you have picked the perfect topic. I hope you will share it with us when you get back.

I just went over to Kristen's site and was able to get on this time. She is one strong gal and she will get through these trying times. We all need to uphold her in prayer and the girls too. I do hope they can find out what the scoop is with Feisty and end these problems that she is having.

That picture is just wonderful of Kristen and the girls! Kristen looks so good now, I'm glad she has gained some weight. Wish I could give her some of mine!

You asked me if we have trouble taking the kids out of school for our vacation trips and no we don't. The teachers send work along with us and the kids usually do it on the plane on the way down and back plus they have reading to do each night. We took our son out of school until he started high school.

Have a wonderful trip and we will look forward to hearing all about it when you get back!!! xoxox

Poor Kristen does sound like she's ready to explode and I can understand why. She has a FULL plate right now and the last thing she needed was for Feisty's UTI's to start up again.

She may not think so, but from what I'm seeing in that adorable photo, she's holding up better than she thinks she is - she looks really, really good and so do all the girls.

Have a great trip, Dawn. I'm just a little jealous. :-)

If you can speak even a fraction as well as you write, Dawn, you will do a fabulous job. You can certainly speak your heart and that will get through to all those who hear you. I have complete confidence in you.

I hope that you will see some wonderful colors as you travel. It is our favorite time of the year for road trips.

Love the picture of K and the girls. What a happy looking family!

I will be saying special prayers for Feisty and Kristen. That must be so frustrating. I hope that they can get to the bottom of it all.

We'll look forward to seeing you back again. Safe journey, my friend. xox

My granny never clean the house until AFTER the company had left. She said it just didn't make sense to do it otherwise. Hope you're having a wonderful trip. Love the photo!!

Dawn, I just came over to catch up with you! I was looking at the last post, too, and what wonderful pictures of the celebration of your mother in law's 90th birthday!
And the picture at the end of this post is just adorable!

I wanted to mention that two years ago, when my oldest was seven, she went through a couple months of that same problem concerning a mental block about bowel movements. It was SO distressing for all of us! I still don't know what set this in motion and I kept praying for her. I finally began really praying- hard- for one night and God almost immediately, after this particular night of praying, lifted this from her and set her free.
I am not sure what caused this in my daughter's case, though I'm quite certain it wasn't anything outwardly drastic.
But I'll be praying for Kristen and for Feisty!

I'll also pray that all goes well in your speaking time...and that you have a wonderful fall vacation, Dawn!
Hugs!
~Tammy

I've said a prayer for Kristen and her girls as well as for you.
