Update on the prayer request

Thank you to those who got this message and prayed. Care Bear is fine. The bleeding was from scratching inside her ear. But that may have happened because it was bothering her, because there was a little inflammation in the tube. She also had a little trouble with her little bum, and the doctor immediately diagnosed it as too much bubble bathing. Did you know little girls are not supposed to take bubble baths (then why do them make children's bubble bath??), but should have vinegar in their baths to prevent infection?! I learned something totally new today.

Well, I just tuned in for the request and the update, all in one go. Glad to hear it's probably not anything serious. I just knew when I read that about the blood in her ear that her ear drum had burst from fluid pressure behind the ear drum. Jessica had ear infections her whole childhood after she started head start and was around other kids. She was never sick a day in her life before that. She had a tube in her right ear, the only one that gave her any problems, when she was 5. Her EENT doctor threatened to put tubes in her ears again when she was 16, but she eventually outgrew the infections, praise the Lord.

And I did know about the bubble bath and other soaps and bath oils, etc. I am very sensitive to some soaps and body washes, and even shampoo that runs down when I shower. Now I can use Ajax or Lava soap (do they even make that anymore?) anywhere else on my body. It's just my nether regions that are so sensitive. All the women and girls in my family are the same way.

I use Walmart brand baby wash, the yellow kind, but I can't use the lavender and chamomile for some reason. Summer's Eve feminine wash is good, too, very mild.

Hope Care Bear is better soon, bless her...um...heart. ;D

I missed the request but am so glad everything is all right. I sure didn't know that about the vinegar. Can big girls take bubble baths? I sure hope so.
Praying all is well with all of you. You sure are having winter there. Tell Kristen to hang in there.

I'm glad it was something simple. That has to be a relief. Yes, I did know about bubble bath and little girls. My pediatrician told me when the girls were very little. I didn't know about vinegar though.

Bless her...um...heart. Diane just tickles me. :-)

Oh, so glad Care Bear is alright. I have never heard that about the bubble baths. Good to know though! I don't know how I missed your post. :)

Glad all turned out OK with little Care Bear. I actually had heard that about the bubble baths, but not the vinegar...
Always good to learn new things.

I solved the soapsuds urogenital irritancy problem with my formula, which you can read about at http://users.bestweb.net/~robgood/lather.html , but no sizable company has picked it up to make product out of it.
