Amazing photos....simply amazing!! I hope Kevin realizes how very lucky he is that he got to see all this in person, so many of us will never know the feeling of seeing all these wild animals up close and in their natural habitat!! Wonderful!! xox

Oh Dawn - I just love these amazing pictures. Ever since I saw the movie "Out Of Africa" with the breath-taking scenery, I have wanted to go. Thanks for taking me on a little safari. I envy Kevin that wonderful experience.
Thank you so much for your encouraging comment. I was thinking just the other day, as I read your post, what a gift you have for story-telling. I especially love the times you take us back to your childhood. I can picture it all so clearly as you put your memories on "paper". Our writing styles are as varied as everything else the Lord does. Just look at the flowers. We can think of ourselves as different kinds of flowers in His magnificent flower garden. Now I'm trying to think which flower I'd like to be :-)

Wow. Just wow, Dawn. It's hard to imagine being so close to these beautiful animals that you can get shots like this.

His giraffe photo is my favorite - it's perfect - but they're all amazing.

wow. incredible photographs. he was really lucky to capture the picture of the leopard. from what I hear they're pretty shy usually

I am sure the true beauty cannot come through these photos. I have a friend that has gone to Africa twice and he says the pictures never quite do the animals and landscape justice.

I would love to go there

What an opportunity Kevin had to see all this and take pictures!

I know I'll never see these sights in person, because I'm allergic to crashing planes and sinking ships, LOL! ;D

I've a friend in Botswana whose town has recently experienced an influx of wildlife due to regional drought. 3 days ago, a couple of very dangerous elephants sautered into town and yesterday her dogs had a run-in with a cobra.

I seem to also recall that she had a "meeting" with some asps on her way to her well and bats fly over her swimming pool.

Oh wow ~ so neat! Very pretty and quite amazing to people who never will get the chance to see that in real life.

Those are amazing! What a neat opportunity.

Totally awesome! It's neat when the Lord takes us places 'on mission' that He shows us so much as well. Neat to see the world and all of the animals that could eat you if they wanted...

Despite all of the issues you had posting this, it turned out great!

I really think those pictures belong in some magazine like National Geographic or something.

We went there (I think) when we went to South Africa . . I have to admit, we never saw a lion . . . and how close all those animal are is AMAZING! That must have been fun!
One thing that caught my attention is how the garafs hung out with the zebras almost whenever we saw them.

Wow! Wish I could have been there too. What a neat experience.

Thank you so very much for the front seat ride past all those majestic animals. Their beauty and ever present power almost astounds. My favorite is the lion hanging out on the tree limb. Younger folks would say: "Is that laid back, or what!" Thanks again.

I so understand about books. While reading what you wrote about them, got an idea for a post. Hope you don't mind.

I grew up going to the Kruger on holiday, so this was a lovely reminder! Isn't it strange how we take things for granted until they are not on our doorstep any more.
