Fotos with Feisty

I let Feisty spend some time with my camera the other day. She did a great job of capturing the littles as they thoroughly enjoyed their spaghetti for lunch.

Note the little piece of spaghetti she's grasping between her teeth?

I didn't know she was taking these pictures, but it was fun to discover these self-portraits on my camera.

Feisty is not very fond of animals up close and personal - especially dogs. But she's getting acquainted with the neighbor's cat, Belle, who likes our yard better than her own. She's the one with one blue eye and one green. I'm glad she's getting used to at least one animal. She was feeding her animal crackers.

We were checking out the yard that day and found that the strawberries are doing very well.

We haven't had strawberries for a long time. The last time we did, the birds got all of the fruits of DC's labors. This time, he's going to get the upper hand.

I found these little gems hiding under the leaves - they're looking mighty good! I can't wait till they turn bright red.

Two more of our beautiful irises. I love this baby blue one - we got it from a little lady in our church many years ago. This morning at church I was telling her about how well they're doing. It's been at least 30 years since we planted them - she said she needs to come and get some back from us, because she doesn't have any more.

If you enlarge this one, you'll see evidence of the rain overnight. I didn't know I captured the droplets.

Have a fabulous week!

I love letting my grandson (one of the secrets!) take my camera and just snap pictures! He loves it too!!!! SHHHH! Don't tell.

Great pictures of the children. It is fun to see what they take photos of when they have the camera.

Your iris is such a pretty color. I hope that you can divide the plant for her.

Strawberries - definitely a summer taste, isn't it? I hope that you can keep the birds away. Our birds got into the apricots and plums which ripened while we were gone. Whay do they need to take a bite out of each one? Someone needs to tell them to finish what they start before they go onto another one.

Hope all are healthy there now. xox

Feisty did a great job with the camera, especially her self portraits! She's SUCH a cutie.

Love the littles eating pasta. Adorable. And so messy!

Your strawberries look great! I have one strawberry plant and it's always so exciting when I get a berry before the birds do.

That iris is gorgeous. I love how you got a shot of the drops of water on the petals. Lovely!

My, the twins really get into their spaghetti, don't they? lol!

Love the self-portraits too. I figure I'll have some of those appearing on my camera someday in the not-too-distant future.

I used to have lots of that last purple iris you posted, but over the years mine have slowly died out. I still have a few iris, but none of the dark purple left.

I wish had a place to grow strawberries. I think they're my favorite fresh fruit. Good luck keeping the birds out of them.

Have a great rest of your week, Dawn. :o)

Love and hugs,

Diane

Dawn,

Beautiful photos of the girlies and the self portraits are cute.

Lovely iris. I'm very fond of them. Most of mine are done now. Enjoy. They just don't last long enough, but give us something to look forward to each spring.

Blessings,
Mary

We've had a lot of rain this year and it has brought us out of a nine year drought. Your flowers are so pretty and I love the pic with the rain drops.
The girls are all cute. Don't they love getting a camera in their hands. Mine do the same.

Glad to see that Feisty is getting more comfortable with animals. Did she have a bad experience with one to cause her to be timid of them?

She did a great job on her photos! My grands like to get their hands on my camera too. Thank goodness for digital, couldn't be letting them do that if we had to pay for each pic they took! lol!

The ground hogs cleaned out my strawberry patch one year and I haven't put any new ones yet. It got discouraging trying to outsmart them. This year the raspberries are doing great, I can't wait to sink my teeth into them in a nice piece of pie! :o)

The girlies look like they are enjoying every morsel of their lunch! My, they have grown so much! Makes me want some spaghetti!

Take care Dawn! xoxo

Cute! My boys do the same thing when they get the camera and the cell phone, too. It is always funny to see their points of view and their profiles. Great pics, Dawn!

The pics are great! Don't tell me - spaghetti is followed by bath time, right?

I love your irises. I have some too, but they're being choked out by a virulent patch of poison ivy. It makes me very sad.

I've toyed with the idea of growing strawberries. We have tons of wild ones and I have some lipstick SBs, but we get very little fruit.

The pictures are great! I love the ones she took of herself close up - that's just precious.

You asked about our new church. It's about 75 people. You can hear Tom preach from our website. There is a sermon tab and all his sermons he's been preaching on Love are online.

Have a great day Dawn.

They sure seemed to be enjoying that spaghetti! lol Did you have to dip them in the bathtub upside down afterwards?? hehe

Omigosh those self portraits Feisty took are so precious, she was obviously having a fun time:-)

We use to grow our own little patch of strawberries years ago but ended up tearing them all out as they really were taking over the whole veggie garden. Nowadays I go to the pick your own strawberry farm near here:-) They won't be ready here until mid July or so. No doubt you will enjoy yours once they've ripened and good idea to put that netting on them to prevent the birds from getting at the berries!!! xoxo

Love those little spaghetti faces!
How great it will be to have your own fresh strawberries.
My folks have a couple of fig trees that they need to cover with netting. If they don't, the birds will beat them to the figs!
Heading out to visit our grands tomorrow and taking the two granddaughters who live near us along. They don't get to see their cousins often enough.
Have a great weekend Dawn.

I've just gotta get me some irises!! They're gorgeous Dawn. And the photo with the neighbor's cat is too precious.

Mmmmmm, nothing can beat home grown strawberries.

And the up and coming great photographer did super if you ask me. Yep, the first thing I saw was the piece of spaghetti.

Thanks for your thoughts this past week too. Much appreciated. I just added a little thank you card to my blog this morning if you'd like to pick it up.

Happy Thursday.
