New Year Meme

Update - Kristen is still in the hospital. Her cousin's gift of the knitting kit has become a life saver. She's become a knitting maniac - a different kind of knitting than I ever did, but very productive. She's finished a hat for each of the girls, and is starting now on scarves.

The hospital personnel continue to do ultrasounds every other day and no-stress tests the opposite days. Emma and Kate seem to be doing great. So are the older ones. They've stayed with us for 3 nights, and are doing remarkably well, actually.

I've seen this meme around and think it sounds intriguing - copy the first sentence from the first post of each month. So here is a look back on 2007 for Grandma Dawn.

January 4, 2007 (right after the Christmas blizzards and the early deadline for MSW applications - the same place I will be tomorrow!)

I am buried in a blizzard of a different variety - mail!

February 1, 2007 (the post following the first addition of the "Story of Deliverance" (see sidebar) that Kevin and I began on January 30 a year ago - hardly seems possible!)

While we wait for the next addition of Kevin's story, I'll write something with a bit less emotion attached.

March 1, 2007 (after a Wordless Wednesday)

First of all, thank you so much for your comments on DC's photography yesterday.

April 2, 2007 (quoted five days before Easter)

"IT'S FRIDAY, BUT SUNDAY'S A-COMIN' "

May 2, 2007 (second in a series about our Georgia vacation)

Eugenia Price was a writer of Christian non-fiction for years.

June 3, 2007

It has been another tough week in the family.

July 4, 2007 (the week the skunks came to visit)

A few days ago I was enjoying a peaceful afternoon of aloneness, sitting on my patio reading a good book.

August 1, 2007 (a recap of the flood at Colorado State University 10 years before)

A year ago yesterday I posted "A Flood of Memories" .

September 1, 2007 (Part 2 of the Job Saga)

Where was I?

October 3, 2007

First of all, I want to thank Maine Mom for the "You Make Me Smile" award.

November 2, 2007

This is my first time to do a "Friday Show and Tell," though I've been wanting to tell this story for quite some time.

December 1, 2007

The Countdown to Kona has slipped below a week!

So there you have it - the year in review. It has gone amazingly fast. There have been ups and downs, many good memories. Your friendships mean so much to me.

Have a wonderful 2008!

It just doesn't seem possible that a year has passed, does it? As my Mama always said, and I've found it to be so true - The older you get, the faster the time goes!

Hope this year is a good one in all the ways that matter.

Good news about Kristen and the babies, although I know she's bored to tears. Still praying!

Have a good first day back at work, Dawn. ;o)

Love and hugs,

Diane

Good Morning Dawn,
I'm glad Kristen has found something to do to keep her occupied during the day. I loved reading your year in review. It just doesn't seem like it should be another New Year already. Where does the time go? I do wish you much luck on your first day back to work today. It's always hectic after being off for several days and then having to go back and get into the swing of things. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Hugs,
Karen H.

I think my favorite line was "where was I?" That made me smile! I feel that way too often I think. It is fun to go down memory lane blogging style and Kelli started the meme in case you didn't know.

Hugs!!

Dawn,

What a fun meme! Interesting to have a years worth of blogging journal at the click of a key! I love this!

And I'm so glad that Kristen has found something to do as she awaits the birth of those two little gifts! Bedrest sounds so inviting when you're overwhelmed with activities and a list of things to do that just won't get done! However, I still remember the restlessness that accompanies a bed rest....I was ordered to bed for the last four weeks of my pregnancy with Curt....my first morning up...he arrived! And that was 25 years ago.

Keep us posted....we'll be praying as Kristen is knitting!

Glad to hear that Kristen and the twins are doing well...they certainly are in the best place they can be! It truly is amazing that we've blogged another year's worth of posts...think we can last another 10 years? lol xox

What a neat meme! I can't believe it was almost a year ago that you and Kevin wrote "Story of Deliverance". Is that possible?
Yay, I made it into your meme. :-)

I'm glad to hear that kristen and all of the children are doing well. How are YOU holding up? I'm sure you have been busy with the girls there!

I'm so glad Kristen has found something to relieve some of the boredom of being stuck in the hospital. Sounds like the babies are doing fine and Kristen is doing better, too.

Bless you for caring for the little ones while she's there - I'm sure that's a huge relief to her.
