Home Again

Thanks for all the nice comments on our trip, the sink hole, and the little girlies. We got home before noon on Sunday, and I didn't even get to see the hole. DC went around it on 270. I really wanted to see it. I have to say, the ride that day had the least traffic I have ever seen on those two highways in years. It was wonderful. I saw on the news this morning that they are making great progress on getting it fixed.

Kev came back to life at 3:00 that afternoon - just in time to miss most of the fun. I felt so bad for him. We'll try again next year!

I shot these last scenes from our deck before we left, because it was the only sunny early morning we had.

This was on the way down the mountain.

The teeny tiny twins came over to spend an hour or so that afternoon so their parents could get their taxes filed. When I was changing their diapers, Feisty informed me that diaper duty was her job . Care Bear let me know that her job was to "calm them down." So cute!

One awake, one asleep. It doesn't always work like that, though! Last night I went over to their house (3 doors down, just like Barb is from her grandkids) so Kristen didn't have to lug half the house over to mine - she finally got to go back to Praise Band practice. It's been at least 7 weeks since she has been able to do her part, or even be in church. (I will be coming home early from Sunday School for a few weeks so that she can get there in time for second service, until she can take the babies out). Anyway - here is what it was like after they left - (in case you wonder how I got these pictures - Kristen made one of her many mommy calls to see how things were going, and I asked her to call her dad to come down and bring my camera).

When they got home, Kristen asked me if it had been stressful. Are you kidding? I got to spend some time when them on my shoulder (one at a time) and just totally relaxed!

Today I stopped by for a minute and found them napping in the big chair. Oh, my heart! (I hope you don't get tired of seeing their pictures!)

Never get tired of those precious pictures. How sweet that you can hold both of those tiny bundles at once. You look so contented Dawn, and they seem to enjoy Grandma's company very much. What miracles! I am so pleased and happy for you.

I'm with Linda - who could ever get tired of looking at those 2 little darlin's?

They're just lost in that chair! I'd had to took twice before I sat down, it would be easy to miss those 2 tiny little things. ;o)

What a difference a few weeks makes....

Hugs,

Diane

Dawn,

I will never tire of seeing the girlies. They are adorable and it's nice to watch their progress.

I'm glad you were able to give Kristen a bit of a break. I'm sure she is tired and learning how to cope.

The photos of the mountain are beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing and thanks also for praying for Michelle. She will have the boys and I to watch over her when SIL is away working.

I remember when I had my hysterectomy I felt so much better. At 4 weeks I went out to rake leaves and the neighbor lady came out and yelled for me to go back in the house.

Take care, Dawn. I always enjoy visiting with you. Enjoy the little ones.

Blessings,
Mary

I will not get tired of the pictures. Just precious and you are so blessed!

My nieces are almost too heavy for me to hold at the same time. (12 pounds now) Please say a prayer for them... they are both sick- ear infections and brochitis.

How could anyone ever get tired of seeing those darling little girls? This newborn age is so fleeting so you need to share all the photos that you can. Looks like you had your hands full feeding both at the same time.

Glad that you had a good trip and returned safely home. And I'm glad that Kev is back to feeling human again. :)

I don't think I ever get tired of seeing their pictures or hearing updates. They are GORGEOUS little babies.

I think you need to frame the shot of you holding and feeding them both at once. You look so pretty and they are so sweet!

Good Afternoon Dawn,
Oh, I will never get tired of seeing those precious babies. You show all the pictures you want to of them. I feel as tho I've been there on the journey of them being born. Children are a precious gift from GOD. All GOD'S children said, AMEN!!!! The pictures of the mountains are beautiful. "THANK YOU" for sharing them with us and of the girls as well. I'm so glad yall made it home safely and Kev is feeling much better. It's so great that you live so close to Kristen and can help her out. I know she appreciates it very much. You look like one proud Granny holding and feeding the babies. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.
